About Us

In Spring 2024, a small group of active alumni met with Associate Director of Bands and Director of Athletic Bands of UNC Charlotte, Dr. Brian Taylor, to discuss the concept of creating an Alumni Association to support the PNNMB - an association designed to connect athletic bands alumni to special events such as performing beside the Pride of Niner Nation Marching Band on game day, alumni basketball band day, spending quality time with alumni through a variety of planned socials, and to also casually gather together for local meet-ups.

With great passion, enthusiasm, and dedication, four alumni from many backgrounds and graduation years gathered at a local venue near the University while discussing the potential for this proposed organization: what to do and what could be done, specifically for monumental moments such as the 10th season of PNNMB coming this year. With big ideas to achieve something special for current students and alumni, the group thought they should create an official association to host such exciting events regularly. The formative committee quickly began organizing the process of becoming a nonprofit social organization. 

With great effort and determination, the Charlotte Alumni Marching Band Association (CAMBA) was officially incorporated October 4, 2024.  CAMBA plans to help current students gain new insight and opportunities in the future while also connecting all PNNMB and athletic bands alumni for the many years to come!
